Seems like any little crack or bump in the road pushes/pulls my steering. Is there a way to tighten this up, or are some parts in need of replacing?

Here's my experience with bump steer..... Mine did the same before I replaced my UBJ, LBJ and tie rod ends. If there is slack in the front suspension you'll feel it in the steering. My tie rod ends were shot, I could grab the end and swivel them back and forth with very little effort. Reach under and check 'em out.

When did you install the lift OHIO? Did you get an alignment after you installed?
If you didn't get it aligned, then that's where to start....mine was the same after my lift install and after front end alignment is was perfect.

Check the rack bushings, maybe getting worn allowing steering to float enough for you to feel it. Even with little larger tires, shouldn't have issue with bumpsteer....something is lose or worn.

Tire pressures too high? Anything over 40 psi and my ride gets real squirrelly.
No, stays in the low 30's

That's what I was thinking, but figured I would ask first..Always something;)

This past Oct. No alignment done, it drove straight with no hands, so I figured I was good.

I'll take a look in the am.

Thanks guys!

Let us know if you find anything. does your steering wheel seem sloppy? Mine does and I can't figure out why. I'm thinking rack bushings now that I saw someone previously mention it because I've been working on the front a little and everything seems tight and solid. I notice mine follows the "ruts" in the road. an example is when you need to slow down quickly for that pesky light that always changes at the wrong time. Where the ruts or indentations are forming in the asphalt the front will follow that like its on a rail.

anyway, let us know what you find.

You need to do an alignment after a lift...how much did you lift 2.5" or more?
The front end geometry is out of spec. Mine was like that till I got the alignment done, then it was a night and day difference.

Changing the height basically pivots the tires, you have to align after changing the height. After it has a chance to settle you should align it again. They can drive straight and still be pointing in or out, or leaing outward, all of which are going to wear your tires prematurely and affect your handling.

I like to align mine twice a year regardless of height changes.

If it wasn't aligned, then that sounds like your problem.... like stated, get that done and let us know.

I don't think bumpsteer is a term you can use on a vehicle with IFS front suspension. It's actually a problem with lifted vehicles with straight axles.

Likely you need a front end alignment or at the least an inspection of your front end. Something isn't right.
