There are alot of folks who build their own "Home made" snorkels.
And yes, they are functional as well!
How do you think "Commercially" available snorkels came about for sale to the motoring enthusiasts?
And no, they are not just a "Version" of a military unit.

Mine will be done very soon!

That would be way cool to see what you design.
Even better to have a "How TO" make your own snorkel section in Forums!
I know if I tried, it would include things from a dryer and duct tape LOL:)

I've been ill with this "Swine Flu" crap since it hit big time on the second of November...
It through a wrench into the whole "Jeep mod's" this last little while!
Now I have to eat for two people to catch up on all the food I've missed!:mad:
Friggin Immigrants!

Ban all that sick crap from coming into North America finally!

Generally I don't do a project if it's not covered in the Red Green show... :D

If you don't use duct tape, it's probably not worth doing it! :D

Well instead of being able to work on the KJ, I have been working on keeping food down!
I dissapeared into the garage this evening and Jen gave me sh t for not taking it easy...

i think the stainless steal one or the one with exhaust piping would be the best choice.. if there were ever a need for a snorkel on a kj i would make one. buuuuuut. theres not :D

yeah but kj is no where near water proof. and even if you go with the dusty environment argument.. TBJ changes his filter 3x more often since the snorkel install.. :confused:
