I do notice the dust covers on the ubj's are not completely covering anymore. There is some ball joint showing on full droop. Is this normal or should I consider this faulty.

Replace the balljoints with Moogs rather than Spicers.

They are upper balljoints for 88-99 Chevy K1500s, C1500s, and G1500 Express vans ITBJRC.

I am using al's a-arms gen 4.5. They already are moogs. Here is a picture to show what I mean about the dust boot.

You must be registered for see images attach

You can see on the inside the dust boot does not cover completely. Is this okay?

ThunderbirdJunkie is fully aware of what you're talking about, and he is telling you to replace the balljoints.

ITBJRC, most of those balljoints JBA arms came with were Spicers, not Moogs, but, whatever...

The one in the picture i show for sure is a moog because I ordered a replacement back when i originally installed them because i had stripped the thread by mistake.

aaah

So is the boot rubbing the spring like it looks like?

no. It's just that the ball joint is at such an angle when at full droop that the dust cover gets pulled down and some grease can escape out the back. The knuckle just hits the pad. That's how it was when i installed it.
