I wanted to order that rear window pad and some courtesy lamps for my 03' KJ and the website i used to use all the time, when i needed parts for the wife's PT Cruiser, is no longer working. I think its maybe because of the whole Chrysler cutback thing. I used to use www.chryslerpartsdirect.com and i had priced some Jeep parts on there and they were the cheapest, but now it won't load and i have been trying for about a week so i don't think its temporary.

Anyone have a good Chrysler OEM parts website they care to share? Preferably one that lets you search by OEM part number to find what you want because i have all the part numbers for the stuff i'm looking for. Also need a few bits for the PT, so i need a new site!

The closest dealer i have is too far and their parts department is a pain over the phone.

Chicago got connected to the site. I couldn't find a thing you were looking for. But then again, I don't know the proper names of the parts.

Ok, its working here again. It must have been a DNS problem. On Saturday we had a fiber cut down here and it wiped out the whole corner of the state, nobody had internet, not even at the state government level, for about 8 hours. Since then its been slowly coming back to life but everything else was working so i couldn't figure out what that one site wouldn't.

As for searching for the parts on there, you won't find crap in the online catalog. You have to use the part number search from the main page and select Jeep for the Make and then you can find everything you possibly need, thats why i liked that site so much.

Only the banner page works for me. West Coast. Well, since Chrysler is now a government operation, does this really surprise everyone?

I don't use OEM parts, unless it's warranty work of course. It seems seems that OEM parts fail quicker than good or redesigned aftermarket parts. I had to replace the outer ties on my former Cirrus like 4 times, till I got aftermarket ones, they lasted! I have other examples, but, OEM parts are not what they are cracked up to be. I have had strange luck with buying parts from Ebay, when it comes to automobiles.

I would tend to agree also, when i need mechanical or replacement parts i go to Advance Auto Parts or RockAuto.com, but for some stuff like what i need now you have no choice!

What i meant by OEM parts it stuff like electrical or body parts that you can't get aftermarket. In this case the pad that sticks on the back window, and the little courtesy lamps that go up under the dash. I don't have much for salvage yards nearby anymore, one of the biggest ones closed a couple years ago when the owner retired, what a shame it was, i could get anything i needed there usually.
