i think the springs on a stock crd are 405 or 415 lbs/inch, not sure about the 2.5crd tho. the franken kit has 500s. im on my phone so my ability to follow up on the details are weak, but ive used kyb struts on my 91 sentra and loved em. i dont know much about the ones u refer to but im a faithfull kyb guy.

KYB just answered an emailed question from me today. Their SR4200 and SR4199 struts are NOT intended for the CRD. They do not have a CRD Strut-Plus assembly. They say: "Good Afternoon. We cover the struts only and not the loaded units (Strut Plus) for the CRD. Below is the front strut part number for your vehicle: PN-331017

Monroe's tech people wrote back, saying this: We list 271577 L and R for your diesel Liberty. We use the same base strut, but different springs for the diesel Quick-Strut. This strut will work well with your vehicle and will come with a limited lifetime warranty.

I post this in an old thread in case others Google CRD shocks, as I did, and end up here.
