Do you drive through car wash with it? Have you had any problems before? If not, do you take it off when you are washing it?

Thanks.

Yes it should be fine, I usually use the do-it yourself one but i have gotten really lazy lately and go thru the automated, and i had asked the guy and he said i still had a ways of height to go, the only thing u have to be careful of is if the carwash has the yellow bar before you enter it will let you know if ur too tall and i went right under it, but i also don't have a lift on yet..lol:D Look around at some of the carwashes, most of them are the same height restricted and just find one that will tell u if u can make it or not, Hope this helps.

(Edit)..I have not taken the roof basket off yet and never have had to, most of the soap or anything comes right off it and doesn't seem to have any effect on it, but i have also only gone thru about 3 times with it since i got it...

My concern was that those rags may get caught up in the basket's bars, especially those side to side moving ones. Height should be no problem since pick up trucks etc generally pass through it without problems.

How about touchless thats what i go through.I always use touchless because of that very reason i would be afraid they would get caught and all hell would break loose..

I havn't used the slapping flaps lol since about 2 years ago because it slapped my aftermarket stuff right off.

Touchless? I am not sure if I even seen one like that. You mean it just uses pressure and doesn't wipe the vehicle with those slapping flaps? I am just afraid they will get tangled up.

Woah!you have never seen a touchless carwash..tell me its not just something for Va people:)I would not recommend a slapping flaps one because of that very reason it would get tangled up or something like that would happen and two. I always heard thats bad for your paint because it slaps your car with dirt so i would only trust it if its touchless try yellowpages.com to see carwash places im sure this is a touchless one somewhere around your area..Hope this helps

Thanks. We have no other choice, wash by hand or get the slapping flaps. :(

Ive actually not seen one that uses brushes in many, many years. I do not believe they even exist in my neck of the woods anymore. They put many swirls in the paint. Ive only used a touch-less wash once and I didnt like it.

Rinse water at the coin-op or by hand at home for me! :)

I don't know where you guys live, but in NY I have never seen any place where you can just pull up to and spray some.. I remember that video Blake posted before, where he just pulled in and squirted some.. We don't have anything like that.

We have either "hand wash" or "auto nasty-rag wash" here. Hey they spray those colorful soaps and "wax" on the car! :)

Yeah, Queens, NY.

on here
I think you are stuck with the automatic ones and the hand wash places down where you are. I have never seen a do it yourself one or a touchless one down there anywhere. (up here they are everywhere)

You shouldn't have a problem with the automatic ones with the flappy drying things. They are too tough to get stuck in the roof basket. Too wide and thick. The hand wash places down there would be easier on the vehicle and perhaps you should try those?
