Dear all,

I just bought a liberty sport manual transmission 2003. The prices included a new set of all terrain tires and the dealership is going to call me back with a couple of options. Do yo have any suggestion on what I should ask for?
I had a look at the the GoodYear Wrangler MT/R or SilentArmor, what do you think about that?
I will use this car most of the time (90%) for off-road trips.

I really aprreciate your help.
Thanks

Giuseppe

Hmmm.... Wranger MT/R are heavier than All Terrain tires. They may not be an option. However, does the dealer offer BFG AT TA/KO's? Those would be great if they could fit those shoes on the Jeep. I put the SilentArmor on at the tire shop to see how they looked and they didn't look rugged enough for me. I only say that since you were suggesting a Wranger MT/R and the SilentArmor (both being drastically different).

oh
get them to include some BFG's - if it isnt already too late, sweet tire, specially if you get it tossed in on the deal :)

Yeah, if the bfg's aren't an option, I would definately recommend general grabber at2....I put them on in November and absolutely love them. They have a nice agressive tread pattern, and my liberty handled like a champ in the ICE storms we had in the lehigh valley (both storms produced a majority of sleet). I'll be taking my ride off to Virginia the end of July for Camp jeep and test my ride out there on the trails

Most definitely go with an MT if you're driving that much off-road. That being said, if it's gotta be an AT, then I'd probably go with the BFG, too. Firestone Dest A/T gets good reviews on The Rack, too, though so you can't rule it out.
