I have seen some aircraft that had slots in the leading edge of the wing to redirect airflow and work as flaps at certain speeds. Not sure of the exact name of this feature, my dad would know since he's a pilot. But I have to wonder if a similar feature wouldn't work to help direct airflow over the back glass and keep it clear. Think of it as an integrated spoiler that doesn't stick up above the roof and it's completed molded into the body so that it is only visible when looking at it from the top or bottom. The air channel would only be about an inch tall and it would be almost the width of the roof. It definitely wouldn't have the drag of the existing air deflector and would be almost invisible. Maybe engineers have already tried this concept and decided it was ineffective, I don't know.

Lastly, I installed it myself. Yes I drilled holes in the roof and I was biting my nails before and holding my breath during. However, a template comes with it and the directions were really straight forward. Everything went smooth for me though.
Depending on how much you want it, go for it. If not, don't bother.
I've been paying a really fast kid to run along beghind me with a sponge.
I called the dealer today and asked if they would install it, they trasfered the call to the body shop, he told me he would do it, but wanted to drop the headliner so he could put some silcone around the screws when he drilled through, so I was like that aint going to be cheap, he stated he would do it for $50, so I think Im going to have it done
