Well, I dont have a lift and am no expert in this stuff, since I'm still new to this. But, I'm pretty sure you will be absolutly fine. In fact 235/70 is the optional stock tire size. I have that size on my stock height KJ. Also, 16x7 with 5.5BS is the stock wheel size. So, really the only thing you're doing over stock is the extra .5 inch of width on the wheelbase. I think this setup would work on stock! And youre lifted!

That's a stock tire size and you're only pushing the wheels out an extra 1/2", so I'd say you should be fine with no rubbing.

Bought the same wheels and got BFG A/T KO's 265/70/16's. I used to run with 245/70/16's with no rubbing at all. You will be perfectly fine with your setup. They are going to look sweet!! Post pics when your installed!

Why the stock size 235/70/16 (29") tires on on a lifted KJ???

The main reason for lifting the KJ in the first place, is to get bigger meats under it for added ground clearance, stability and durability.

A lot of people do the Crager 397's in a 16X8 with the 5" back spacing (same size as the Rubicon rims) and run 245/75/16's (30.7").

Here's why stock size on a lifted KJ...

If they're like me, they probably don't want to cut, slice or dice anything on their Jeep. Holes are fine though. \:D/

I have the 16x8 Cragars on 5in BS and I run 245/70/16 tires with my rustys/OME lift. I have very little rubbing..

And Marlon, I dont like cutting up the fender wells either. Thats why I stayed with 30in tires. O:)
