Took me forever to find the right one on Ebay(and win the damn auction), but here she is. Fresh from a totaled 04' Reny in Florida (moment of silence please).
Got to be one of the easiest mods I've done to my Libby. The hardest part, without a doubt, was working up the nerve to cut that hole in the headliner. Once you get it done though, she just pop's right in!! Running the wire's to their proper places was made easy by this write up: http://theblakbox.com/lost/evic/
I'm real happy with it so far. I just wish I had the sunroof to go with those controls \:D/

Great job on the install. I am now in the works to find exactly what you have (I have the sunroof tehee). Thanks for the motivation and great link for the "HOW TO".

Looks good! Just one question - what kind of rear-view mirror is that? Def not a stock unit (Aeh)

Love that mirror..It's about 4'' longer and just clips on to the stock mirror. It's got a slight curve to it. So you can set it up to where you can see the whole right lane beside you. I don't even use my right side mirror anymore. Plus, It allows me to see what my, 5 and 3 year old, boys are fighting about in the back seat.
Not sure who makes it. I think its from Japan. I picked it up at a local dep. store over here in Korea, but I'm sure you can find then in the states..

I bet you can find something cool to hook up to the sunroof switch. Foglights maybe?

I remember suggesting someone to hook up the flipper glass to it. O:) or get a relay mechanism and hook it up to ALL 4 WINDOWS DOWN function something like that.. if any available.

Nice install... and I can see that about having to have nerve to cut that hole in the headliner! Can't take it back... lol.

Sorry for the Renny, btw. Very sad... :-({|=

Are you using the tire sensors? I just did one of these and need to turn off that function.

Hey Matt,

I cant figure out how to turn that off either..Every time I start my Jeep, it beeps for about 20 sec. telling me my tires are "low" or the sensors are missing. You can stop it from beeping by pushing the C/T button......That's what I do.

Go figure someone got the unit I wanted and doesn't even have a use for the sunroof controls! The one I bought has the flipper switch for the sunroof (push forward or backward) and not the auto-open and vent buttons. Wanna trade for a 56042756AJ :)

Based on this link:
http://www.wjjeeps.com/evic.htm your 56042756AJ has TPMS

I would like an EVIC with Homelink and without TPMS
The one I have is: 56042756AF & has instant mpg, homelink, TPMS and all the other stuff. My cover had the open/vent/close center switches and I still have those but have replaced it with a blank cover.

Soooo ... you mean you are willing to sell/trade the cover? After all, that is all I really want. I DO want the TPMS and that is why I sought out that unit. I just wanted to have the other cover with the Automatic sunroof buttons and vent. That and I am still holding out hope for a Liberty mounting bracket laying loose somewhere before I go and order one from the dealer.

My main concern now is to find an EVIC with homelink and no TPMS. Once I straighten that out I will be more free to help you. I have the switch you want and you can just cut the hole for it into your cover. I need to hang onto it for now in case I find someone with the EVIC I want and they happen to want the switch also.

OOOOH, you didn't mean the whole casing, just the switch. I have the switch I want already from the stock overhead lighting, but thanks for the offer. I was looking for the EVIC housing that came with that switch since it was tapered and cut for the switch already and would be a natural flow. The housing I already have just can't be cut to properly accept the switch without looking like it was butchered, so I am better off leaving the flipper switch in there over dremeling out a hole to put in the auto-open switches.

While on the subject, though, do you know if the BCM or the switch itself controls the auto-opening? If it is the BCM, then it shouldn't matter which switch I use. All I would lose would be the vent button.

You wouldn't want my cover then because I made the hole larger to fit a Carling switch blank plate. I didn't want any switches there.
The switch that was in there did not connect to the EVIC so the BCM must control the sunroof.

Stay tuned for an edit on this because I remember a fella that was selling just covers, gotta dig that up.
