How much have you all spent on various mods? I'm new to the KJ world and trying to decide what to do and when. Anyone care to breakdown the cost of the various mods they've done to their KJ, list them in the order you did (or would do them in if you would change the order) them in, and a total cost of all mods?

ALOT!! Ive got it all broken down on another computer. Ill post it sometime today.. If I count all the stuff that Ive done, and stuff that didnt work... Over $3500 at least.. ](*,)

I had bought some other tires and sold them b/c I didnt like them.. I lost some money on that deal so thats added in there too.. I didnt lose to much though. :-s

Some things to add:

-Rear Air ride suspension.. $70
-Front Rustys coils..$130
-Tire sensors that dont work and I believe the guy on ebay is going to screw me.. He said to send them back and he would refund me.. But he said to wait a week b/c hes going to see his mom who has cancer. If I wait a week, I wont be within the 30 days that ebay will MAKE the guy refund them.. $90

-Extra set of rear isolator pads.. $40

Didn't you already have tire sensors OEM?
The sensors don't work with your tires OR they don't work at all!
If they are not compatible but functional, instead of sending them back, just sell' em to someone else.. if you think he is fishy.

I sent them back today.. They will be within the 30 days so ebay will make him pay me now. I had told him I would wait a week till he got back, but I just went ahead and sent them.. 8-[

Im not sure what years the sensor were for.. The guy said they changed the sensors midyear 04, but I dont believe that..

I called a local dealership just to see how much they were.. $60 a piece!! Haha, their CRAZY!!

KJ02Ltd. As far as how much everyone has spent it will be all over the range from 50 bucks to many, many thousands. depends what you want to do with your Liberty, wheel it hard or just once in a while, what types of tires and wheels you want , bumpers etc. Also if you shop wise and buy some used stuff and wait for sales then you can get off a whole lot cheaper. Take my ARB bumper for instance when I bought it new ones were 750 or so, mine used was.... well 1/3 of that with some other stuff thrown in. Roof rack under 50, cross rails home built, etc. etc. So make a list of what you want then start getting it all together. On here and over at L.O.S.T. Kjs are both great places to find out what others are doing and what works and doesnt work. With lift, (OME HD springs),new Rancho shocks/struts, roof rack, tires, skids, bumper, rear hitch and some other stuff I have about 1400/1500 and that is with me doing all my own work and a lot of searching for great deals. Brand new tire sensors should only have cost you about 25-30 a tire from most Mopar sites, depending on the sensors model number. I ordered one for a full size spare on my Charger which doubled as a Jeep sensor and it only cost me 32. For 90 bucks in dud sensors, you could just go brand new at a little more for the peace of mind.

My wife thinks I have already went off the deep end, maybe I should let her read the list of stuff that billforde has! WOW is all I can say. I have rear hitch, window vent visors etc and also a lot of little stuff that I never really keep track of or that I made or built myself out of left over parts from the last 30 years of playing with 4WDs.

KJ02LTD.............you're at Anderson AFB, Guam. I was there in 1967 so I guess it's still there. There were a lot of monitor lizards and wild boar there at that time and some of the biggest spiders I ever saw. We found an old Japanese set of gun emplacements and concrete bunkers from WW2 all overgrown. ........sorry - didn't mean to hijack the post.

Anyway, I put Mopar skids and front hooks on and Jeep floor and cargo mats (mats=not really a mod). I didn't keep track but I think they were well over $200 for the skids and hooks. I did put A/T's on that were about $540 or so. I did put a brake controller in but don't remember the cost (too lazy to look it up). I can't keep up with the rest of you guys.
