I just got a price quote from the local tire store for 4 replacement 215/75x16 Wrangler ST's. $142.68 each plus stems and balancing, total cost:$683.90, minus $15.00 each tire on sale, final price-$623.90

I thought that was a "little high". #-o

So checked on the web, MSRP is $142.95 for the Goodyear tire.
And after reading several reviews decided on the tire below.

I am going with the Uniroyal Laredo AWP 225/70x16 for
$101.00 each plus M&B, state fees, etc. Total cost:$508.55

Price & mileage ratings were my primary driving factors for the decision, as I do little if any, off-roading anymore.

man, if you're gonna drop that much on tires, You can get a much better tire.

I got my Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's for about $520 out the door. This was back when Costco carried Bridgestone however, but the price included disposal of the old tires, mounting and balancing of the new ones, and free lifetime balancing and rotations for as long as I own the vehicle.

You can still get a much better brand of tire for that much. Do some shopping and comparing online. Never know what kinda deal you might stumble upon on Tirerack.com. They run sales alot on all kinds of tires.

General Grabber AT2's, $86 apeice on TireRack, the best money i've ever spent on my Liberty, that of course excludes the $900.00 my dad spent on the Frankenlift, but hey "I" didn't spend it, so that's a fair statement... (cool)

Yeah the Goodyear ST has a huge price tag...and the most terrible reviews I've ever seen on a tire in my life. Avoid them at all costs.

I bought 255/70-16 General Grabber AT2 for $86 each at tirerack.com. They look just like the BFG ATs...perform just like them...for half the price! I have been everywhere and have done everything with these tires and not one single problem yet. I love them.

No doubt that's a lot for those tires. I second looking for something better... like Revos!
