Hey folks, new here.

I'm looking for some stuff to add to the '03 Lib my g/f just bought.

She doesn't like the interior fabric in the Sport. She would prefer the fabric from the Limited. Is it possible to get the upholstery from a Limited, or maybe the all the seats? The interior color is black.

Some of the trim bits from a Limited would be nice. Like the bright trim on the console and center stack. And are the door panels different? She'd like those if possible.

Is it possible to add cruise control, steering wheel controls for the radio, and leather wrapped wheel? Where could I get these items and how hard would they be to install?

The trip computer would be cool. Same question as above.

I saw the thread about installing the fog lamps. So MOPAR sells a complete kit? Is it hard to install? How much?

And I think the last thing is that she would like to get rid of all the textured black plastic on the vehcile and replace it with the painted parts so that it looks like a Limited. Where's a good place to get these parts?

I know, "why didn't you just get a Limited?" Well, she had to have a manual trans and didn't want to pay the many extra thousand for a Limited.

Anyways, thanks in advance.

Man you are going to be one busy fellow, with all those planned mods. You must have been a closet Jeeper for a good long time.

The best place to start would be by using the search function of the site. A good deal of your questions have been at least discussed (some at lentgh) and there may even be a couple of "How To's" posted as well. The guys and gals here are very good at wrighting up how to perform mods (some even post pics, diagrams and specific part numbers).

I'd say you have a good plan of attack though. Learn how to do the mods on hers, refine your ability, then buy your own KJ and mod it. Just make sure she doesn't catch on to your evil plot.

Oh, and welcome aboard!

Just a couple of threads I pulled from the "How To" section:

Seats

Computer

Fog Lights

Steering Wheel Radio Control

There was some disscusion about replacing the flares and best I can recall, you buy them unpainted as set. Best thing to do is see if you can find a body shop willing to paint yours (if they are textured you may have to buy a set of smooth to get a good finish).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info.

I think the first thing I gotta do is get cruise installed on this thing.
We just came back from a trip with it thru some mountains and it was kinda a pain keeping the vehicle at a constant speed.

I'll have to do a search for installing factory cruise.

I do not like cruise for hills and mountains. It downshifts way to much, I like to control things myself. I only use cruise if its going to be flat for along time.

We won't have to worry about the automatic's downshifts.
Ours is a manual trans. We decide when to downshift. :)
