are the stock foglights on the renegade Hella model 500 foglights? a friend i was showing my newly installed hellas to said he read somewhere that the same foglights are stock on the renegades. can someone verify this? thanks.

I believe they are. The case its-self is different, but the reflector is the same.

they are hella.. my friends 05 had cracked lens and i checked them out close.. says hella on the glass.. btw he went back to dealer and they replaced them

If Hella is the company making the fog lights for Jeep KJs...then I just instantly lost all respect for their company. I can't keep up with all the people having to get them replaced under warranty...

I really hope that the factory fog lights are not the Hella 500s.
I took mine off and left them off because they sucked so bad, they were completely useless.

I think the '05/'06 Limited and Sport with the lights in the grill are not Hellas, only the bumper mount. The ones on my Limited are still fine after 9 months.

Hella does make OEM lighting and their aftermarket lighting. OEM lighting is designed to the specs provided by the retailer (Jeep). The aftermarket line up is to Hella specification.
There is no way the 500s ended up as OEM on the Renny.
