I bought some Bosch wipers not long ago and they seem to be doing ok. We have them on our 94 Grand and my moms corolla also, and they dont seem to do to good(theyve been on there around a year and a half. Some times they are really nice and smooth, then other times they hop all over the windshield. I think im going to try rain-x wipers next time.

I use 'TRICO' Exact Fit Wiper Blades. (says they're OEM) I replace them in the Spring and again in the Fall, so I don't spend alot of $ on more expensive one's.

I've had nothing but excellent results with them. I've got a set on the front right now and i'm looking for one for the rear.....2.5 years on the OEM rear wiper is long enough dont ya think?

I've not been able to find one for that damn rear wiper! I think it's an "11", but I wonder if thats something you have to get at the dealer?

I have the Bosch Micro-Edge as well, but I'll be trying something else next time.

They wipe well, but they're no good at much of anything else.

Chatter and make LOUD noises in the cold. OEM blades weren't anywhere as bad.
They don't "flex" well. On the edge of the blades, there's spots where it won't wipe.

Don't get me started on their rear blade. I'll take a pic later, I don't feel like going outside now. Let's just say, I wish it wiped the entire window.

Two questions for you all:

1: Has anyone used a longer than OEM blade on the drivers side. It looks like it could easily handle another 1".

2: Maybe I have had extreme weather this year but I certainly seem to get more blade icing than on other cars I have driven in the winter.
Is it the engineering or the blades?

Thanks

My microedge wipers were wiping poorly to brgin with as well....turns out that the longer they stay in the packaging, the more the wiper arm bows the blade...the blades have metal inserts for rigidity...all i had to do was remove the blade from the arm, bend it to contour the window better and reinstall them...took me about 5 minutes....but the effort is well worth it. I have the micro's all around and all three wipe extremely well....nice, quiet and clean. If you're having problems with them hopping, skipping or not wiping completely, try bending them to the windshield better....jus make sure you take them out of the wiper arm first as that will keep them from bending enough. ONLY BEND THE BLADE...

Blades Used

Anco Winter Wipers #30-18. They last about a year. About $14.00 a pair locally. I leave 'em on year round.

Wipers

Anco standard wipers... $4/ea.

Clipped on in a few seconds. They work excellent. If you require something fancier, you might want to look into some Rainx instead.

I recall the first winter I had my KJ, with the OEM blades on there, they tended to ice up very easily driving down the road. I remember jumping out during a few red lights to knock the ice off real quick...before the light turned green again.

I've found that Triple Edge blades work very well. They perform well and last a long time. As a matter of fact, I have yet to need to replace them on any of my vehicles. I've had them on my pickup for a few years now and they are still performing very good. I just replaced the stock blades on my '05 Liberty and they work well on this vehicle. I put them on my girlfriends car about a year ago. She has been very pleased with her blades ever since.

I get the Triple Edge blades at Walmart. Check 'em out and see what you think...

If all these different kinds of wipers didnt cost so much i would change every week till i was happy. My bosch ones were alittle over $20. I wish i would of gotten the rain-x ones now.

Thanks for that tip!

Even if it isn't 100% perfect now, it's for sure better than it was. \:D/
