Anybody ever install one of these OEM subs under the drivers seat? How hard is it and what does it take to do? Oh the orginal factory radio with CD is still installed.

Thanks for the info.

Takes about 20 minutes with a couple of normal hand tools. The wiring harness is made to plug into the Jeep wiring harness so no splicing is required. It is very very easy.

Yup... it's the first thing I've ever done to my liberty.

Basically you need to

1.) remove the drivers seat,~ 5 bolts.
2.) remove bezel around the stereo ~ 1-screw
3.) remove stereo 4 philips screws
4.) Plug in the supplied subwoofer harness into the deck. (no splicing, all plug and play)

5.) run the subwoofer cable under the center console, you can either remove the center console or simply shove the wire along side it(that's how I first did it)

6.) plug wire into sub
7.) Place seat over sub and screw it all back down, replace factory radio and bezel.

It's a pretty simple install, I no longer have the sub anymore, because I have a different sound system... mainly because there are amps where the mopar sub once was.

It does not plug into the back of the hu, the radio harness plugs into the subwoofer harness and sw harness plugs into the RB1, sort of like a T connector.

Part No.

Do you have the part number, and the est. price for that sub? Also, is there a passenger side one, or just buy two and stack the harnesses?

Not sure about a passenger side one. Also if you could find a passenger side bracket you could stack the harnesses.
