Hey all,
looking for some opinions on the ROCKFATHER II lift. I have never lifted a jeep before, so I'm currently doing the research and found this lift which seems like the best to me, but I don't know much. I'm thinking of putting this lift on with oil shocks, 1" spacers to widen the stance and hopefully keep stability, and 31" tires.

so my main questions/concerns are these:
will this lift feel too soft for cornering/highway driving? (I have to drive on the highway most of the time for work, but I want to enjoy offroading when I actually do!) Will the wider tires and spacers add enough width to my stance that it will counteract the higher center of gravity from the lift?

Will I hate driving this on the highway? and do I even need the spacers for 245/75/R16's? I soppose my tires will already stick out from the fenders w/o the spacers?

I am looking for stability for high speed highway driving and also maximum off road ability/flex.

would you guys go with this lift if you could spare the cash?

The rockfather II lift is essentially what the lost kj west people developed and call the franken lift. OME springs w/ spacer in the front and skyjacker springs in the rear.

This is quite a popular lift that works well for alot of people, especially when wheeling hard.

Go with the Medium duty OME spring in the front or the Heavy Duty ones if you are planning on running a winch. It will not feel much different than stock. Once you upgrade to a stiffer tire it will probably feel even more stable than stock. With some spacers or different rims it will probably feel way better.

BTW, go over to http://www.boulderbars.com/kjproducts.htm
They sell the franken lift (same as rockfather II) and have a TON of experience with lifting KJs. Plus Quinn is super helpful and will answer all you question. Probably cheaper than rockyroad also and they give a discount to LOST KJ members. www.lostkjs.com
