I would appreciate it if someone with an 05 Limited would let me know if their rear window switches are illuminated, on mine the front is, but not the rear and looking at the switches it appears there is an indention on them like the front where the light shines through.

Thanks
Bob

I dont know about the rears, but I'm 90% sure that for my fronts the only ones that are backlit are for the front windws not the rears...

On my '04, the rear switches are lighted. For the front, pretty much no switch is lighted except for the two front window switches. The rest are dark.

Thanks for the replies, on mine the front switches are illuminated, the backs are not illuminated and the lock out button has no effect on the illumination.

I just realized that I needed to clarify my question, I was refering to the switches on the console right behind the gear selector, the 2 switches for the rear windows do not light the 2 front on the console and the 2 rear switches on the back side of the console do light.

I don't know why they just didn't go ahead a light the other two (for the rear windows) on the console. I think it would have looked better...

I agree, just thought something on my brand new Lberty was broken, hated to think the dealer was going to have to start taking it apart.

I think I smell a mod coming! This bothers me as well...why not light all four switches...wonder if it's one switch unit or four seperate switches and if so wonder how much DC is getting for them :)

While you are at it, better do the power door lock switches also. They look like the same switches.

Not yet, I have a friend at a local body shop that has an 02 that has been totaled, he is going to pull the switches for me and and I will see if they are swappable, it was/is my understanding that the 02 switches were all lighted.

They may look the same, but don't forget the front window switches are different in the fact that they have a position in which the window goes down all the way if the switch is pushed all the way down.
