What strut compressor??

What is the recommended strut compressor for replacing the KJ strut and springs?
Will this work?

Yes, those will work, but are somewhat dangerous. Although mine were not as beefy as those... Anyways what happened on mine was the threaded rod started to bend as I was compressing the spring and came pretty close to breaking.

Also if you have an autozone near you, they rent the tools for free (with a deposit of course).

Otherwise you can bring it to any shop and let them assembly the strut for you on a large compressor machine.

I got the strut compressor from Auto Zone. The hooks would not fit between the front spring coils.
I lucked out and on a Saturday found a local independant shop that changed everything out for $25. Just took the guy about 10 minutes.

u do get the deposit back....... :-s in a sense, it's not 100% free, more like 75%.....LoL.....

yea, as long as you return them, their free to use.
