easy installation

I didn't even have to remove the upper balljoint. the whole lift took me just under three hrs, including messing with a rental spring compressor. All hand tools. I don't know what Skyjacker's doing to install their lift, but they sure waste alot of time in the disassembly.

I installed my Rusty's spring lift today. It was surprisingly easy. Much easier than the the lift I had installed on my Cherokee.
Eric, your directions were great!!
I found I did not have to disconnect the lower balljoint. In hindsight, it may have been easier disconnecting the bottom and not the top.
I figured out real quick the strut compressor I rented was not going to work.
I lucked out and found an independant shop today (Saturday) that did the struts for $25. Only took about 10 minutes.
Next, 245/75 tires.

So Eric...Did you get the Rusty's KJ Liberty 2.5" Suspension Kit or did you get the KJ Liberty 2.5" Strut Spacer Lift Kit ? I have been looking into the Strut spacer kit for a while (less expensive) and the direction on the website say you have to cut and grtind some bolts? Did you find you have to do that at all? and did you also get the rear shocks with that lift?

I have the rusty's 2.5 suspension lift and everything only lasted about 35k miles before I needed to get new shocks. I don't even off road. I got what I paid for, but it looked cool and was cheap at the time.

We are still happy with our 2.5 inch Rusty's suspension lift on our 02. It has been two and a half years with no sagging and it still rides great. We dont off road either, it's a daily driver. I am kind of sad, it's the wifes jeep and she is thinking about trading it in on a 2014 Wrangler.

The only Rustys I installed was back in 07, every time the guy stopped over it was lower, in less than 35,000 miles and three years he was at stock height and the cheap shocks from Rustys had blown a year before.
That was with ONE real off roading trip the whole time :roflsquared:
Wouldn't install one on my wheel barrow
