Does anybody know where I can find detailed instructions on how to wire a Renegade Light Bar to a Limited? I see them for sale, so I'm betting most people that buy them would be buying them as an add-on, not as a replacement for the OEM one. I'm pretty sure I saw instructions once, but I can't find them. I'm pretty sure I've also seen someone's signature on a jeep forum somewhere that said mods: Light Bar (thanks dad) or something like that. Any ideas?

The Renny style light bar is the only style my wife will permit me to install or have installed on her Libby. BTW, anybody have any idea how much it might cost to have a dealer install this? Think they'd be willing to do that?

BTW I was reading in some other post (LOST or JU maybe too) that mentioned the renny light be has been discontinued for the time being for a redesign. One guy had won an ebay auction and told he couldnt get it for the time being, and others being told that from their dealer's parts counter.

Weird. Wonder if you can still get it from jeepworld or jparts, etc.

Those pics look great, but where are the text-directions!?! Can't always figure out what the pic is saying. I'm trying to decide if I should have my dealer do this or spend the time at my brother's house with his help, installing it. Sent an email to my dealer asking for a price quote.

Edit: My Selling dealer is supposed to be sending me numbers shortly.

The wonderful people at Daimler Chrysler have decided that picture installation instructions (with a few words here and there) are better than step-by-step instructions. I was amazed when I got the mopar foglights.

The install time pulled directly out of the mopar accessory catalog is 1.5 hours. So if the dealer is like mine and charges $70/hour it would cost $105 to put it in. This may be worth it as you wouldnt have to spend an afternoon of your time, and since it requires drilling into your libby if there would be a leak they would be responsible. A long time ago I read on LOST one of there member had a dealer install one and they mounted it in the wrong spot ( I think too close to the windshield). The dealer ended up replacing the entire liberty.

Holy cow, only 1.5 hours?!? That's definitely worth a liable dealer install, not to mention the fact that what takes someone else 1.5 hours might take a jeepkj.com member 4 hours, might take me 12 hours. It DOES look pretty complicated.

I just might get me a renny bar. \:D/

Wifey is backing out though, says, "it's my car, not your car yet". Doh! ](*,)
