Jeep will introduce another version of the Rocky Mountain editions for all its Jeeps. The Liberty will be monocolor like the Limited (but minus the chrome grille), have the Renegade flat hood, and the rims featured on 02-04 Limiteds and 05 Sports but with the inset painted charcoal. You can see a picture at the bottom of this link http://www.wkjeeps.com/wk_rocky.htm courtesy of JU guru Milous.

Thats dumb! I couldn't live w/o mine today.

Well, growing up in Colorado/ Wyoming, I don't recall seeing fog. But blowing snow yes. I like driving with mine on, with or without fog. I do like the larger looking ones on my '04.

i still have mixed feelings about the front end..
i like em on the rennies cuz the external fog lamps are covering it up some....
with the new grille all rounded....it kinda looks like a heart.....
now with that, and the fog lamps (holes) missing..it even looks...odder.... :-s

love the fog's use em a lot of times.....
turn em on, when it's not quite so dark....or when on mtn roads....

I use mine every time the headlights are on.....I think it looks cooler, and the added light on the road is a plus!

Maybe they posted the wrong pic by mistake? At least up until the `04s, they had the RME badge on the sides...and they had fogs. Also, part of the RME package was the graphite painted bumpers and painted side trim.

it looks good but the fogs are missing.

Hmmm, you know what? Looks like they are phasing in the flat hoods. Firs the renegade, then the rocky edition. I bet by '06 there will be another flat hooded edition. Hopefully they will figure out a better placement for the fogs by then.

fogs shouldve stayed where they were, regardless of the bumper...
and I agree about the flat hood.....2nd model they have it....
i liked the original rocky mtns..more variety..this just looks like a limited...doesnt stand out

also anyone notice the fenders are cut higher due to the newer bumpers...
easier to retrofit aftermarket front bumpers ....
less cutting......l

I definitely agree the 04 Rocky Mt edition was alot better looking. Actually, the Freedom in 03 (Rocky Mt in Canada I believe) was the best looking Liberty in my humble opinion. As much as I like my 03 Limited, I still wish I could have found a Freedom with Selec-trac and abs. I love the Dakar rim in charcoal. Anyone wanna trade those for optional 03 17in "chromies"? (biggrin)

Bling free is the way to go!

Not big into some of the chrome lately - used sparingly it can be good but we're currently in the "chrome it all" stage of car development.

Chrome

I like chrome on ANY vehicle, as long as it's not too much. For me, I find it pretty easy to keep the chrome looking new and shiny. As the vehicle ages, with the chrome still looking good, it gives an impression that the vehicle is newer, or better taken care of. It just wears better than the black or gray plastic long-term, although short-term I'd say the black plastic takes a better beating, because you'll be ticked at your first scratch or mark in the chrome.

I like my 2003 Rocky Mountain much better than that one! Minus the snow packed in my rims of course. \:D/

Anybody know when the '05 RME is coming out? When have they come out in the past? What's the diff between RME and Columbia Edition?

Also, I can't seem to find it by searching. I know DC is replacing this year's red mid-season. What color is disappearing, and what red is the new red?

When will this happen?

for the '04 RME and Columbia the the main differences from what I recall are the following:
-seats have embrodered Jeep or Columbia Edition on the head rests, seats are one piece (headrests built in) and are two tone.
-graphite bumpers on all, but the RME also has graphite fenders (renegade style with fake bolts) and grill
-I think the RME had 17" graphite wheels, the Coumbia had 16s

thats all I can think of...
