Changed both upper and lower driver's side ball joints, replaced hardware on the front sway bar links, u-joints, and the rear upper bump stops. Will replace the oil after a few thousand more miles.
I have 245-75-16´s on mine. I regeared to 4:10's and I'm glad I did. I saw the power come back and the gas mileage was back to normal levels of the KJ. I don't wheel mine b/c my wife uses it mostly but when it was my daily the regear was a lot nicer driving on the road.
Anyone know the valving specs for the shocks when they're new. I have an order placed but the manufacturer needs that info so they can fulfill my order. These are the shocks: https://www.vividracing.com/bilstein-7100-classic-coilover-shock-absorber-p-151564679.html
Any help would be greatly...
Finished installing the new bilstein rear shocks. They look great and the ride is good. Standard procedure from now on will be to PB Blast any nut/bolt that is going to be taken off. The job would have taken a lot less time had I done that before starting.
The regear is definitely needed with 245/75/16. You'll notice the difference immediately after the regear. I sure did. Power was back and the mileage went back to where it was stock.
I knew about the 5100S model after reading through the threads on here. Thank you for the replies everyone. It is much appreciated. I'll throw these on the Jeep on my next day off. They arrived yesterday and man they look nicer than my OME's did when they were new. Hey Tom do you still have...
I’m wondering a similar thing. Should I tow my Accord from VA to CA with a tow dolly or the full trailer? Gas mileage is gonna be crap I know. My 06 is lifted and I have the 42RLE but, I have 4:10’s.
Battery and battery tray I removed when I did the drivers side. Extensions and patience got it for me. I also used penetrating oil the night before on everything that was going to be unbolted so the job was slightly easier.
