ouch I have been there I had a ripped weather stripping on my drivers door....I had the same thing as you happen to me but on top of the horn and the jeep not shutting off right my lights would stay on....the horn my guess the horn relay got wet and a few pins on the BCM where the BCM meets up...

I am not taking the part off the shifter assembly but I do have a busted shifter that the strip may be intact I will have to check

no one makes any for the 05-07 KJ's if you know what you are doing you could make your own... for a few years i have been wanting to try and make my own but don't have time or space to start a new project
