Had a relatively minor collision. Passenger side front wheel now has negative camber and toe-out. Trying to figure out what part (or parts) got bent.

Just an update on this in case it helps someone in the future: The problem was a bent steering knuckle. If you research this online, the general consensus is that steering knuckles are cast iron, and will crack rather than bend. This is not the case, or at least wasn't in my case. I thought the...

Seized upper control arm bolt. Attempt to remove it myself, or admit defeat and take it to a garage?

I am trying to replace the passenger side upper control arm on my 2005 Liberty. I have done the driver's side one before, so the passenger side seemed like it should be easy in comparison, because the bolts are much easier to access. I removed the nuts from both bolts, and got the front bolt...

Are non-ABS front hubs/bearings interchangeable, or are they left/right specific?

Someone asked about using the ABS hubs on a non-ABS Jeep, and the consensus seemed to be that it was fine. https://www.jeepkj.com/threads/front-hub-with-abs-on-non-abs-libby.80125/ I guess that also means it wouldn't matter if it was a passenger or driver side hub, since with ABS out of the...

Are non-ABS front hubs/bearings interchangeable, or are they left/right specific?

Thanks. And is it ok to use an ABS bearing on an non-ABS Jeep if I just clip the wire off, or are there other differences that make them incompatible?

Are non-ABS front hubs/bearings interchangeable, or are they left/right specific?

I need to replace my front passenger side wheel bearing (non-ABS). While I was shopping around, I found a really good deal on a driver's side ABS hub/bearing assembly. While I was looking at the various listings, I noticed that the non-ABS versions appear to fit either side, whereas the ABS...

Had a relatively minor collision. Passenger side front wheel now has negative camber and toe-out. Trying to figure out what part (or parts) got bent.

Yeah, the bad side had about 1" less droop in the photo, but I don't think it is significant. After taking that photo, I tried turning the steering wheel to full lock both ways to see if I could get photos of the angle of the hub, and when I centered it, the droop was gone. I think it was just...

Had a relatively minor collision. Passenger side front wheel now has negative camber and toe-out. Trying to figure out what part (or parts) got bent.

I had a collision with another car yesterday. The other car hit me on the front passenger side corner. There's some damage to the plastics, but the main problem is that the wheel is badly misaligned. I did manage to limp home after carefully checking the ball joints, tie rod etc. I took both...

Is there supposed to be a weep hole plug in the water pump?

It's not JB weld, it's some sort of rubber plug that looks like it's supposed to be in there.

Is there supposed to be a weep hole plug in the water pump?

I've just replaced the water pump in my 05 Liberty 3.7l. I noticed that there is a little hole at the top of the water pump housing. On the old pump, there is some sort of plug in this hole, but there is no plug in the hole in the new pump. Is there supposed to be something in there? I haven't...

KJ 3.7l A/C Bypass - is there a consensus on belt size?

True, though this has happened at the worst possible time for me. I just bought my first home, and I am still tied into the lease on my old apartment until they find a new tenant, so I am paying both my mortgage and the rent on the apartment. Even the $50 I paid for the bypass pulley was more...

KJ 3.7l A/C Bypass - is there a consensus on belt size?

I just decided to buy the bypass pulley that replaces the A/C compressor. It does mean removing the compressor, which will make it more difficult to replace once I have repaired it, but it's not the end of the world. The main thing is to get back on the road. The bypass pulley was only about...

KJ 3.7l A/C Bypass - is there a consensus on belt size?

Thanks, but that is one of the sources that got me confused. That's the only reference I have found to an 83-1/8" belt. There's a video on youtube of a 2005, and the guy said he used either a 79.5" or 82.5" but couldn't remember which. The empty package is for the 79.5" one, so it looks like...

KJ 3.7l A/C Bypass - is there a consensus on belt size?

2005 Liberty KJ 3/7l 185k I made a post yesterday about a noise that was happening when I turn on the A/C. It sounded like rushing water, so I thought maybe there was air in my coolant, but that was incorrect - the sound is a bad bearing on the A/C compressor. I know this is quite a common...

A/C noise, and a 'roaring' sound when I turn it off

EDIT: It turned out to be the bearing on the A/C pulley. It sounded exactly like rushing water, which is why I thought it had something to do with the coolant. 2005 Liberty KJ 3.7l 185,000 miles. While I was driving yesterday, I noticed that my A/C was noisier than usual, like there was an...

Low whistle and 'washing machine' sound while driving?

Yeah, I'm wondering if it could be tire noise. I did actually notice that it happened just after I inflated my tires, but I can't see any damage to them, and they are only about 18 months old (I also only drive about 5k miles/year) so I thought it was just a coincidence. I have watched a few...
