not really--i used a hammer, pry-bar, snap ring wrench, and adjustable wrench. You could benefit from a harmonic puller though.

Driving around the other day my jeep stalled on me and speedometer died. fault code 0500,0836, & 0838 came up. I am having my speed sensor replaced as we speak but as soon as this happened it started stalling most of the time when I came to a stop. it wasn't doing that at all before the check...

So i have an 03 with the manual transmission...i'm pretty sure that it is the NV1500. Since the damn thing almost refuses to go into gear when it's cold--what would it take to upgrade to the NV3500? Would it be a just a swap job or would there need to be some kind of adapter to bolt it up?

mine did the same. look for a bunch of dust surrounding the AC pump area--that would be your burnt and ground AC clutch.

yeah....only fried 10 or 11 throttle position sensors at $40 a pop before i figured it out.

found the problem. JETCHIP Stage 2 is junk!!! removed it and PROBLEM SOLVED!

lol still on original shocks, struts, and springs @ 125K miles. saving up for that lift i guess...

i just got a whole new compressor from jeepair.com for about $250. once the R134a is added in sufficient amount it works like a charm.
