    Lockers or not

I've been reading through and haven't seen anyone mention lockright (maybe I missed it). I'm running the lockright no slit on the 8.25 rear and absolutely love it. I live in the foothills and work in the low mountains. Maybe an inch or 2 of snow on the roads at my house, 3" or 5" on the road...

    Help with driveline noise

Tommudd, yes I learned my lesson the hard way with the intermediate shaft. How do you get to the bearing in the diff? I'm going to do the rebuild soon and I'm starting to gather all my parts. I figure its going to be a pretty big project especially if I have to pull bearings and seals..

    Help with driveline noise

Did you get this worked out? I know it's a few months old but I have a theory based of my situation. I had very similar issues, the sound would change based on the load I'd keep on it (gas pedal pressure and coasting manual ******). The passenger cv is very loose going into the housing. It took...

    Diagnosing rear hum.

Did you find it? Did you find the problem? I know its been a while but i just saw this searching for something else. I recently threw a weight on my drive line and it acts similarly to what you discribed. Also wheel balance, driveline angle if its lifted, cv's, wheel bearing, loose dribe line...

07 liberty front axle slipping out... again

I do. I had just installed a rear locker and went over some rocks that were "to big". Lots of bumping, bouncing and a little dragging. All these issues popped up through that afternoon. I hope I just knocked it out of alignment!

07 liberty front axle slipping out... again

The front has been on for 2 years now so I don't think it's settling much more. But I was ******* it going over a couple big rocks (same time my axle slipped out) so something could have slipped. Could this poor alignment and off centered wheel cause my traction lights to be on. Maybe with the...

07 liberty front axle slipping out... again

I'm sorry it's been so long. I think the cv was new but I'm not 100% on that. If so would a new one that is the full length fix this? I just don't like the amount of play the upper portion of the axle has even though it is still engaged with the differential. I also noticed my steering wheel is...

07 liberty front axle slipping out... again

Tommud. I do not have them with the frankinlift because (if you remember our last problem you helped me with) I wasn't expecting a full 4"up front. I did replace the cvs, not the inner shaft l, with ones from Napa. So I'm gathering at full droop the shaft pulls out a but, just far enough to...

07 liberty front axle slipping out... again

I may have jumped the gun a little on this one as I thought it could be the answer for traction control esp/bas lights staying on. I put it on jacks and the 4wd engages and it acts like a open dif in the front, however it still seems like it has WAY too much play in it between the upper boot/cv...

07 liberty front axle slipping out... again

2007 Jeep Liberty frankenlift front end, Jba rear springs all sitting at 4in. The second time I tore into my front passenger side axle after I changed it was to replace a torn boot. I noticed there was a lot of play in the axle where it slides into the housing and figured I didn't seat it...

    Frankinlift and tire size options.

So after talking to the local gear shop they want just shy of $2000. to do the job. I was expecting around $1200. so that is going to be on hold.. :Insane: Tommudd, thank you for pointing out how low the rear of my jeep is! I think I got used to looking at it. The front is at an exact 23" the...

    Frankinlift and tire size options.

It seemed like it started sagging in the rear very fast. I went with the lower spring rate they offer due to no heavy extras (bumpers or winch ect..) and since i told them I'm not towing the didn't add the rear extra spacer. Maybe I should add the rear spacer? Or maybe just new dull size...

    Frankinlift and tire size options.

WHAT ARE YOU MEASUREMENTS NOW? MIDDLE OF THE WHEEL TO BOTTOM OF THE FLARE ? -23" front, 19 3/4"rear. would that be enough clearance? I went to the all j website and for what its worth they state you can run 265's but require trimming about half of your inner front wheel well. Sound about right...

    Frankinlift and tire size options.

I know I know this question has been asked in different ways with so many mixed and confusing answers but I figured I'd ask a couple specifics because I think many people will be in my same boat due to not wanting to lift too high or modify to terribly much. To the point. Running and loving my...

    Front axle seals. Super stumped...

For some reason I was not getting updates on this thread and kinda forgot about it so here is the update (A little late but might help someone). I damaged my seal so bad I had to make a tool to get it out...but I finally did. I took 2 5/8 nuts and welded an 8" piece of 1/4" round stock across...
