CRD dies and restart after a while

****** sensor replaced under warranty last year. Good thing, too. They charged almost $800 for the service and I had just changed my fluid and filters!

    2006 CRD improve MPG

I noticed Rick Shaw touting 33 mpg from AZ to CALI. I live in AZ and the warmer temperatures produce better mpg's. I can get 32 hwy if I keep my foot tame. Usually, it is nearer 28. Sounds as if you are running too cool to me.

    Transmission oil type / grade

When in doubt, shell it out . . . cash, that is! I went through the same thing on my '99 Ram 5-speed. Lube shop didn't carry the recommended lube for that ****** either, so I hopped down to the local dealer and picked up what they needed.

    Does this look fixable?

Let it go. I'm sure it gave its life for a good cause. Well, of course it did. No blow-out. No wreck and it got you there. Don't chance it. Be safe.

    Random "dings" and warning lights

Whether he did or not, I have to chime in with the same symptoms that led me to a bad battery last year. Also, check the main (+) positive feeder cable attachment into the relay box. Chrysler (specifically, my Dodge Ram) had the same thing and I found the main feed cable loose inside the box...

    Mechanical Fan on JK's?

Good info to have. I'm sure the manufacturer knows about their parts interchange . . . just don't say it so loud as to draw attention to the fact or they will start charging extra for it! (as if they don't already $$$)

    New look!

Same here. I already view on a widescreen and every forum I currently subscribe to views fine, even Jeep Militia - your OTHER site. On a positive note: at least the flash ads and pop-ups aren't as annoying as they were.

    Rear Shocks.

That's funny! It IS easier with the rear tires/wheels removed. Okay, before anybody else pipes in here: jacking it up to do all of this would be advised.
