Ok I recently picked up a 2003 Liberty Sport 3.7.

so far I discovered a misfire on 4 & 5 and a random misfire. I replaced the spark plugs hoping that would correct it, nope it didn’t. I’m guessing coils are next.

my water pump bit it so it got replaced. It already had a brand new radiator installed so that’s a bonus.

I discovered a power steering leak, it looks like a hose is leaking so both hoses will be replaced. For the power steering pressure hose I noticed they come w/switch port or w/o switch port I’m not sure which one I need.

move the coils around and see if the misfiring follows. If so, it is the coils.

For the P/S hoses, look under the P/S reservoir and pump. It'll be pretty obvious that the pressure sender unit is there.

I was changing my power steering hoses and this was loose sitting there. Any idea what it’s for?

It’s your front diff breather hose. It goes onto a ***** to hold it in place below the purge valve, near the battery IIRC.

"bolt". I think it's one of the shock bolts.

It's funny when it parses what it interprets as a naughty word. :D

Ok while driving on a gravel road I heard a kathunk from underneath, as it sounded weird I pulled over to check it out well I saw a wet trail behind my Jeep and as I looked underneath I saw a hole in my transfer case .

Is there a way to identify which transfer case I have without crawling underneath so I can start looking for a replacement?

Which 4wd system have you got? CommandTrac or SelecTrac?

Your build sheet will tell you for sure if you don’t know.

Just noticed a Jeep Liberty Renegade in the local pick n pull. What tools do I need to remove the bolt on fender flares?

Same as any flares , just held on with clips
The renegade " bolts " are fake small very short bolts that do nothing in regards to holding them on, you can remove them after taking them off from behind as a small clip hold them in place

Ok I got the transfer case changed, now to install the front driveshaft. I’m just not sure which end attaches to the transfer case and which attaches to the front differential

The front is the part that slides back into the rear part of the driveshaft ( has the accordion boot )
