Why do I keep getting "Update your account to view 3rd party photos"? Do I upgrade here/lost Jeep's or is it Photobucket? I didn't see anything on Photobucket to update.

You can host photos on FB, or G+... or nearly anywhere you upload images. Just right click, copy the photo link, and plop it in the image field here. Works most of the time.

I would advise against using social media for hosting pics. If they change their url structure you're back in the same photobucket boat.

I recommend imgur.com if you want free hosting. Though always be prepared for them to stop existing.

Google will limit your photosharing once they pass a bandwidth threshold.

Only hosting you can count on is paid hosting but even then you should have a backup. Amazon Web Services static file hosting is cheap. AWS and Microsoft Azure now offer 12 months of free use.

My AWS server costs me $1.50 to $2/mo

Oh, I get it. And your suggested remedies are good.

I, personally, just don't want to mess around with yet another site for photos when I'm already posting them somewhere that I can pull an image URL from. We thought Photobucket was a pretty safe bet for uploads at the time, but nothing is guaranteed. I'm of the opinion that I'll deal with it (or not) once it happens.

Shoot... half of my links disappear because I 'clean house' in my photo sites and simply don't feel like re-uploading things elsewhere.
