Had the Liberty for a little while now and no issues. Well yesterday I left work and I noticed it didn't start right....started but not well. Drove it home no issues. Wife took it down the road to the store and 5 minutes later calls me and says the jeep won't start.
I went and checked the battery even tried to boost it (Nothing) all lights, radio etc still works. Had to call our local garage. They just called and said that it was the key switch, the rod had broke in the column. Anyone ever have this happen?

Dealers do not stock this actuator pin assembly....try to sell you the complete steering column assembly! Get a Dorman part.

Will probably order a spare. $170 later I have my Liberty back. My buddy at the garage found one at a salvage yard. Do you know the part number for the Dorman.

Do a search here and the other KJ forums for Actuator Pin Assembly for part numbers and how to replace. We do not have any decent alternative part suppliers here in SA so I think I should look into ordering one myself from overseas!
