I am planning on putting a solid front axle kit in my 2004 Jeep liberty renegade. Does anybody have a kit that they have used and reccomend? If so, an approximate price on kit and labor would be appreciated as well...Is their another vehicle with a compatible size solid front axle, and if so would that be a cheaper option? All advice welcome and appreciated.....

I intend to, was just looking for some fresh info too. I found one kit for like 1400, but no word on installation. Thank you for the feed back/advice. This was my first post on any thread, anywhere, ever LOL

As of right now no one makes a SFA kit for a KJ.Rock Lizard Fab may come out with one in the near future(ownership change so it may or maynot happen) but I can tell it's alot more then $1400.

This is what I found on 4wdfactory for $1400, Maybe its not the right part....If not I would also appreciate any info on what it is/does and the benefits. Once again, thank you very much for any feedback. I have a 2004 renegade, and I am going all out on making it as sick as I can while still being a good daily driver. I am having a Skyjacker 3 inch lift put in as we speak.

Thats for a wrangler JK not a Liberty KJ. And the whole SFA kit is around $9500 from RL fabrications not including labor.

And don't go with skyjacker they are junk now that they use the softride coils, smae spring rate as stock and will sag down in no time.

I was going to go with the Rockfather2 OME kit from Rocky roads, but every indication is that they are a nightmare to order from and they dont offer ACTUAL refunds if you have problems with their stuff....The sky Jacker kit comes with a life time guarantee so if I dont like it Ill rip it out and send it back...What lift kit are you running in yours?

None yet but I have posted on my build thread what I am going to use. What most people use are OME/Ironman coils and Bilstien or OME shocks. Both great setups just depends on how much you want to spend as the Ironmans are cheaper. You can find all of the parts you'll need at http://http://jeepinbyal.com/. Great prices and great customer service.

That is spintech hubs for a JK,only the hubs.

You can halfa$$ a SFA on a KJ for $1400 like alot have but then it will become one of those you keep seeing on fleabay as there sold and resold, and resold again since there unsafe and complete junk.

Send it back before you even install it
save your money and time and go with a good lift
Too bad since Skyjacker used to be good at first

I put it in already and am happy with it so far...thats not to say that I wont have problems with it in the future...I am currently living in Amarillo TX, in the TX high plains so I really wont be doing much rock climbing....But I will stay current on this thread and post any problems/concerns/issues that I do have with it to keep everyone informed. Does anyone here know the max size and or the optimum size tires one can run on a KJ with a 3 inch lift? Additionally, any advice on a brand....Keeping in mind that any offroading I do in this area will be in soft silky STICKY quicksand mud or dry sand and this is also my daily driver? Im definitely wanting self cleaning tread, and am thinking on maybe super swampers.

Thank you so much to everybody who has posted on my thread, you guys have been very helpful in a constructive way, and it is well appreciated.

If your dding I would go with an a/t tire like duratracs as they are an aggresive tread and wear nicely. Super Swampers for a dd will wear out like crazy unless they're for a designated trail rig. Then again I'm going with an m/t since I get a nice discount at work

WarVet, I am also a vet and from Texas so I know how you feel. Us Texans must be very stubborn because I have the same Skyjacker lift for a year and a half and still loving it. It is a little of a rough ride but it isn't all that bad. That being said, I have 265/75 KO2's and they do rub at times, it isn't all that bad to me. The safer route that I think anyone would suggest is, if I still remember correctly, a 265/65 or maybe a 255/75? (or 65) The problem is the turn radius and the rear pinch weld.

But as they suggested, there are better lifts out there that are not much more expensive then what we bought but for some simple fun, it gets the job done.
