front hi lift jacking point

im going to be making a sort of front hitch for my jeep (but no actual hitch, just a crossmember to reinforce so i can use d rings up front) i was wondering if it would be safe to use the stock bumper (the actual bumper not the fascia) as a hi lift jacking point, the actual lift point would be on the frame i build and bolt to the stock tow hook mounting holes.

Sorry, the "Actual bumper" is the plastic bumper cover and an "Egg crate"
five mile per hour plastic shock absorber behind the cover..
If you are referring to the cross member, yes could build onto it.
Look at a Detours Offroad Backbone winch mount...

I've lifted both the front tires completely off the ground with ours.

i have looked at the backbone in the past and that is the basic inspiration for the design, but the backbone looks like theres a heck of a lot more bracing/mounting than just the factory tow hook bolts, i would like a backbone but i dont have the money to drop right now, i do habe plenty of steel square tube, angle, and flat stock though, i know that the backbone is plenty strong but all i plan on mounting to is the holes for the stock tow hooks so i guess my real question is how well, (if at all) will they hold up to that sort of use, (worst case scenario being lifting the front of the jeep off of the ground)

Best thing to do Chris is over engineer what ever design you have.
I'm sure you can come up with something that will work for your application.
