Next upgrade will be front d-rings to replace the stock tow hooks. Stock hooks have already been removed so that 6in hitch receiver tubes can be welded to the mounting brackets.

Estimated completion date: DONE

I see you're going with black until they make something darker...good choice:icon_twisted:

Estimated completion date: Oct. 23, 2012

There is no such thing as a "completion date" when modding a Jeep:smokin:

Oh you are absolutely right. I just meant completion date for my front shackle mod

Hitch tubes and mounting brackets are at the welding shop now and I'll be picking them up after work. A few coats of paint and on they'll go.

Thanks for the comments guys. I appreciate it!

I'm really pleased with how they turned out. Now I just need to order some shackle receivers.

Thanks Dave. My shackle receivers should be here within the next few days. I'll probably invest in some locking hitch pins shortly thereafter. Can't have anybody stealin' my d-rings!

Shackle receivers arrived at the local post office this morning. I'm hoping they'll be delivered today, but who knows with Hurricane Sandy looming. Will definitely update with pics as soon as they're on the Jeep.

Shackle receivers delivered but the leasing office closed due to Sandy before I could get there to pick them up. Hoping they're open tomorrow.

Going to order some locking hitch pins this week but other than that I couldn't be happier with this mod.

Hmmm, what's next?

Man you really attacked that bumper :D

Lookin' good!

Thanks man, all that extra plastic had to go :D

Mounted a pair of Maglites inside my KJ last night.

Steel zip-tied a Maglite Mini to the driver's side seat bracket, and mounted a 3 D-cell Maglite to the bottom of my cargo rack using Maglite mounts.

Looks like my mpg has gone up considerably since changing out the spark plugs. They were definitely ready to be changed, looked like these were the originals. All six were gapped at .080+, even though the dealer assured me that all regular maintenance was performed by the previous owner. Am I surprised? Not really.

Posting this for my own reference.

118,900 - Front differential fluid
118,900 - Spark plugs

Installed a P.I.E. Aux Input Adapter last night. Ran the wires through the glovebox. The sound quality is excellent and I can finally get rid of my CD case and Sirius radio receiver!
