Uwharrie Nat'l Forest trail ride this weekend May 21-23

I'm waiting for my buddy to email them still, I forgot my camera all except for the last day, which wasn't all that eventful.

    Extending breathers...

I would say near impossible without dropping the trans, but I haven't tried. I don't know if it can be gotten to from the top or bottom :( I wonder if dropping the center crossmember, undoing the rear ball joint and dropping the rear driveshaft would allow you to drop/tilt everything enough to...

    Very odd trans issues?

I was having similar problems before swapping out my transmission(and torque converter). It started acting funny at times on the highway, but the biggest problem was that it(the TC) was staying locked up when I came to a stop, sometimes surging and sometimes stalling. It got worse and worse and...

    Extending breathers...

Good luck getting to the transmission breather if you have a 45RFE, and yes, there is one.

Uwharrie Nat'l Forest trail ride this weekend May 21-23

Myself and a couple friends (3-4 XJs most likely) are headed to Uwharrie this weekend, Friday afternoon actually. If anyone wants to meet up and hit some trails you're welcome to join, just post up here and we'll try to figure something out! Shannon

    stalls and dies

Does it seem like the Jeep is trying to lurch at all as you're nearing a stop or while stopped? I would try throwing it in neutral as you're coming up to a stop to see if it still happens. Also try turning off OD and see if it still happens. It could be a variety of things but I was having...

    rear upper control arm

Pretty sure it is the same picture used for each part, which is why I'm asking if anybody knows the difference ;) Maybe I will call and find out if they can tell me the difference, was just hoping someone here might know.

    rear upper control arm

It takes about 2 minutes to find if that, I'll post a link but I don't know if it'll work given the way the site/catalog works, it appears to use expiring cookies for shopping and the link will probably expire. Link There are diagrams, as well, click 'view illustration'. If the link does not...

    Steering Wheel Vib

Not really, I mean the wobble could be felt all-around and not just at the steering wheel but I didn't notice anything specific to the brake pedal.

    the jeep and water fording

Definitely not difficult, just time consuming, but worth the benefit and peace of mind. I would recommend it as well, just to be safe, but I have not had any issues myself without doing it, and as I said I have been in plenty of deep water for long periods of time.

    the jeep and water fording

I have been in deep water MANY times(and been stuck for 10-15 minutes at a time) and have not had any electrical issues, I did kill my rear diff though (and likely only because the breather hose was disconnected from the axle tube, got ripped off previously). Everyone else may not have the same...

    rear upper control arm

Does anybody know anything about the "heavy duty" version? Moparpartsamerica.com shows one, and it is cheaper than the regular listing.

    Steering Wheel Vib

Get under your Jeep and grab the CV axle "cups" where they go into the front axle and wiggle them up and down, if there is a lot of play this might be your wobble. I just replaced my front passenger CV axle and inner shaft and that took care of my wobble AFTER trying everything else.

    Removing the antenna

Walmart actually has what you need, a mini-antenna kit that comes with a bunch of different adapters, it's like $3 for the kit. I've bought a couple of them, wheeling in tight areas is no good for antennae.
