OP - I know it is the one next to the tensioner and is smooth and black, no teeth or rails.
Did not notice your year/engine. Assuming 3.7 based on the picture which looks pretty much just like the three I own.
It's the Idler Pulley. The center sealed bearing has failed. Unbolt it with the bolt...
My #1 all time go-to for my Libertys ( KJX2 and KK ) are the 2005-2006 Wrangler Rubicons. Have them on lifted and non lifted. No issues once you know the correct size tire to run.
Well, just trying to give back.
IF you have had the minor fender bender like what happened in my house there are other options indeed for bumper covers.
The 05 Sport go wacked by some nit-wit in a hurry and I quickly found a replacement bumper cover on craigslist. It included the cover...
I would recommend searching local craiglist listings. I got my ALLEN 3-Bike spare tire mount rack for $20.00. I've used it for over 5 years now including several 400+ road trips.
I use LubeLocker gaskets on my Wrangler and would never use RTV again unless unavailable. I've honestly not checked to see if they have product for the Liberty. I'll not be happy if they don't but if not, it is what it is.
My EVIC says 15.2 since one of the kids drives it now I've not done the math manually. Just don't want to be overly upset about the real thing. Of course with it lifted, the front guard, light bar, rack cross bars and full 245/75 16 MTR I should be happy with what the EVIC says it's getting...
Have a NOS ( been sitting on a self in my garage ) Factory MOPAR Jeep Liberty alarm. Part Number 82209700 with a manufact date of 10/11/05.
Just never got around to installing this. I don't know why the thing has almost every other factory option on it now.
Is still in the factory box...
Mine does it all the time. It's the tranny. I don't see it as a problem since it has done it since day one. I saw a post someplace about the way the transmission downshifts and the converter works... or something like that.
My old "postal delivery person" had a Cherokee with one of these nightmare setups.
She broke down once just past my house and I was shocked to see the way this thing was rigged up. I ended up writing up a three page letter when she tried to get her money back ( via the courts ) for the mess...
Keep watching eBay/craigs whatever for Liberty Steering wheel with the radio controls. With small puller and ~1 hour time you are done. ( Know this because I've done it. )
Wow really.. cause I was attempting to be nice... I guess I could have just gone to the dark side and said HE SHOULD HAVE PURCHASED MINE... but I didn't... he also could purchase the Aux Light Wiring Harness for ahhh maybe like $125.00 and get a REAL MOPAR wiring harness. But never mind. I'd...
Not to butt back in but JEESH... you guys are making this install hard and it just isn't... the factory instructions are on-line... here is the link to the PDF right from the Mopar site ( twelve clicks start to finish )

OMG... THANK YOU POWERSLAVE! Success!
That part was NOT fun. Found identified ground, used test lead and ID'd each additional wire ( since each switch works by simply grounding the lead ). Tested. Worked and dissasembled switch again. And then got it all connected soldered and the install...
Well I don't live in NYC but I've had this same worry several times here in the ATL.
I use a cheap ALLEN rack that fits ( still actually even with the MT/Rs and Moabs ) on my spare. The spare has a locking lug and I have two big cable locks ( can't remember brand) that go thru both bikes the...
I had this same issue and I actually used and extremely old little mini puller ( standard type with the hook arms ) and it popped the steering wheel right off. I was amazed!
I barely cranked down on the thing at all. 20 minutes later back together ( I installed radio controls ). If you have...
:D OK so yes this is EVIC related. I have had a few of these for some time and decided ( without thinking at times ) to make the install this weekend.
Had looked over everything here and lost and wjjeeps many times and knew kinda what would be the worst of it.... little did I know.
The...
