Driving around the other day my jeep stalled on me and speedometer died. fault code 0500,0836, & 0838 came up. I am having my speed sensor replaced as we speak but as soon as this happened it started stalling most of the time when I came to a stop. it wasn't doing that at all before the check...
So i have an 03 with the manual transmission...i'm pretty sure that it is the NV1500. Since the damn thing almost refuses to go into gear when it's cold--what would it take to upgrade to the NV3500? Would it be a just a swap job or would there need to be some kind of adapter to bolt it up?
I just removed my AC pump altogether and have been getting roughly 35-40 more miles per tank of gas.

I had a JetChip Stage 2 on my liberty when i bought it and the F$*%ing thing fried my throttle position sensor every time i drove in the rain. i went through about 10 of the the damn things before $1200 in labor searching for the electrical gremlins finally to figure out that the JETCHIP IS...
I'm really past due for new shocks and struts. Any suggestions? I was thinking of doing a 2" lift. I have 17 inch rims and don't know what size tires i could fit without rubbing....god i'm such a noob. should i replace ball joints? 125k miles and running strong....need input!:D
Recently my AC clutch seized up on me and I figured out a new route for the serpentine belt.
If your freezes up and you can't afford to get it fixed...use these instructions on this link to get your pulley and clutch off. I didn't have the pulley puller so i used a pry bar, hammer, a bit...
yes. only deal is you have to get the AC pulley out. without a gear puller or harmonic pulley puller it is a pain in the arse. I found decent instructions at this link (with pictures):

then with the 82.5" 6-rib...
same thing happened with mine a few days ago with that god awful noise. today my ac clutch seized up. yanked the pulley and rerouted a shorter (82.5 inch--normal is 87.5) serpentine belt.
you were right. &*^& thing locked up on me this morning. i was able to get the pulley off and figured out a new route for a shorter serpentine belt to bypass it without having to buy the bypass pulley kit and every pulley rotates the correct direction...i will post a picture.
