Poor MPG's causes list. Why I am woried!

if sucked in too fast the engine would die anyhow from low air flow. best way I have done it would be to keep engine running, connect a tube to intake, put your finger over the end of the tube to keep vacuum and keep car running, then just "sip" the seafoam up. once youve taken in the...

your oil is going to be as thin as water, hopefully you havent driven or cold started too many times since dumping that stuff in. i think your issue is just air/fuel mix and computer

they are sagging. I am fine putting whatever is best for replacement. I do not want to be back under this thing for awhile, it just needs to hold up.

    thermostat cause seizure??

yes, it could case the truck to overheat, which then kills the engine. for the cost of a tstat I would replace it.

Poor MPG's causes list. Why I am woried!

seafoam thins oil out beyond levels you want in your truck. you should use it on your intake and gas, if you put it in the oil you need to dump and refill the oil. the aem could be throwing the computer off and screwing with fuel mapping. between oiled air filters screwing with MAFs to...

Been awhile...need general info for suspension

I've successfully been able to continue keeping my wife's 2003 sport running. Well over 120k miles, been fine as of late, typical older car issues. Anyhow, need to get the suspension refreshed. Clearly this is a commuter, it isn't even a mallcrawler so no need for lifting or over the top...

    What would it be?

get yourself a new tensioner assembly and a new gatorback belt. if you have substantial miles on it these are easy and fairly inexpensive replacement parts. Anymore with the price of tensioner assemblies I am just inclined to replace the whole thing rather than take it apart (even if possible)...

    sticky part-time, anyone?

the buildup is what caused it to hold. if the road isnt slick enough that the wheels can slip you shouldnt use it, it will bind. if you ever have this the easy way to get it out is to drive in reverse with the tcase disengaged. You will release the bind.

    Replacing U-joint(s)?

you have to push the one side of the joint down so the other side cap can come off. once you get the joints out you just replace the same way they came out. The important part on the way back in is to be sure the caps are greased so that the pins don't fall over when you push the cap back on.

go to Deacon Chrysler on the east side of Cleveland, they are very nice and wont beat you up on their prices. The hardest part is getting that little red clip thing off.

    Heating Issue

sounds like water pump to me. Or radiator clogged. opening and closing tstat is more to do with engine temps, not heat.

    Transmission Pan Gasket Fluid Leak!

x3, you would see rtv, it squeezes out as you apply the torque on the pan. I dont think it is a terribly difficult thing to fix. certainly not something you want to do but it isnt a huge PITA like some things!

Burning smell from 03 Jeep... (pics attached)

clean the rocker covers up and make sure you snug the bolts. Keep everything clean so you can find the culprit. might get away with just snugging the bolts. replacing those gaskets isnt usually too difficult on most vehicles.
