Help with oil catch can installment

If you look at the stock air intake it is already a cold air intake. It scoops air from under the front of the hood. I don’t know why you would want to **** air from under the hood. Everyone that has been in here will disagree with you if you say a cold air intake will help anything on this...

Help with ‘02 KJ Mystery Problem

I would check the fluid level in the TC, it may just be getting stuck. Try also putting the transmission in N when you put it back down to 2wd. There are probably other threads around on here too. Fluid should be changed every year or two. There isn’t much electronic about select trac. Now...

Help with ‘02 KJ Mystery Problem

You can remove the front driveshaft to see if your issues go away, that's the sure test to determine or eliminate 4wd as the cause.

Help with ‘02 KJ Mystery Problem

What transfer case do you have or specifically do you have part time and full time? Part time means fully engaged. full time means you have the second position on the shifter and can run it full time. If you have the two options, (look on the shifter), perhaps you are stuck in full time. I...

Help with ‘02 KJ Mystery Problem

The axles don't engage/disengage. It is the transfer case that does the engagement. One wheel can't be stuck.

Help with ‘02 KJ Mystery Problem

Once I took a ride with the mechanic that did my alignment and he didn't torque down the cam bolts all the way and I took a left hand curve at speed and heard a clunk/****. It had pushed the lower control arm all the way in and boy did it feel weird after that. Long story short, we rode...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Over my Christmas break I installed a new front right hub bearing. Centric bearing lasted 3 years and a week. Probably started making noise 6 months ago. I ordered a new mopar hub/bearing and installed that. Now just tire noise. It was a howling... Also in the past month I have renewed my OME...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Add me to the delayed shift to drive engagement after a lift. I had the battery out for a day. Go figure. I’ll be keeping my eye in it…. Replacement transmission with 90K on it. Merry Christmas!

What did you do to your jeep today?

I had dirt caked up on the gas cap gasket and rim of filler tube. Would throw the code after about a week after clearing it. Cleaned the gasket and filler, been about a year now, no evap code.

    Sagged n bagged 927s

‘Where’ you mean? Look at the different slope of the left coil spring. Kinda hard to tell but the spring is bowing out to the right a little. They were also sagging bad. With the new springs, it sits 1.5 inches higher. Haven’t measured, don’t care to to see where it sits. These are OME 927...

rolling back on a hill is a feature. got mine with 3K on it, now at 175K and has done it all that time, even after a new transmission. I think the KJ has plenty grunt the way it is. Take heed, there is nothing much you can do to make it have more 'power'. If it feels slow, there may be...
