Another Land rover inspired modification idea. For the more extreme and daring modder, has anyone bobtailed a KJ, as with range rovers? Chopped the chassis shorter, so it becomes a 2 door, and perhaps shorten the rear overhang. And a lift, solid axles, and knobbly tyres. Damn it'd look good...

I didn't want to hijack the other power windows thread, but I wondered, on my kj the windows rise up very slowly, and the motor makes quite a strained noise. Is this common to all the KJs, or something for the dealership to look at?

Just another question from my unlimited store... My owners handbook mentions side airbags. In one of the illustrations, there is the pic of the roof lining with the SRS AIRBAG (correct?) logo. My KJ doesn't have that - so I don't have side airbags? Not that it really matters, just out...

Anyone else here own a bone stock KJ? And why? Me - I like things simple and uncluttered. So, the only changed I'd ever think of making is perhaps a slight lift and knobbly tyres.

Bit of a bizarre qu I know, but can you put your full weight (i'm not light), on the bumper, bonnet and possibly roof? I remember I could stand on the bonnet and bumper of my old Land Rover without leaving permanent damage (the bonnet wobbled though when i stepped on it). Thanks!
