What did you do to your jeep today?

Need to do brakes on mine, trying to find someone in the local Jeep group to come help out. Have to replace both front calipers, rotors and pads all the way around. Tired of the peddle travel and warped front rotors, along with lack of stopping power. Parts on hand already. Mike the Aspie

What did you do to your jeep today?

Our local Jeep club lifting guru is going to do the lift on both Jeeps for us. Mine will get all new OME HD springs, OME struts and so forth. None of that Daystar garbage on my KJ. Hers has decent springs for now, so just lift spacers from Teraflex for now, new proper lift coils in the next...

What did you do to your jeep today?

Rotated the tires, gave it a full bath/interior clean up after a long winter. Now if we would stop having down weeks at work, I might be able to get it lifted yet this year(something I have to pay someone to do, its beyond my ablities). Mike

    preemptive head gasket replacement?

A cooling system pressure test can also give an indication of any leaks in the cooling system, while not specific to a headgasket issue, it can tell you if you need to look at it further. Some white smoke on start up on these cool and damp mornings is normal, even brand new cars do this if are...

How did you end up with your KJ?

My Chevy 2500 turbo diesel was eating me alive with fuel and oil consumption making the run to work and back, but she still looked really nice and ran good. My wife and I went out to dinner on a Friday night and I spotted a 2004 Renegade on a dealers lot in the small farm town we went to dinner...

    Front driveshaft replacement

The joints were both shot on my 04 when I bought it. Dealership put new ones on both ends of the front shaft along with new hub bearings. He was gonna get the whole new shaft till I told him the cv's were replaceable. So with what he saved, he put new hub bearings in for me!

    Hoosier Jeep family checking in

I am also hunting for a pair of the OEM Hella fogs(bumper top mount style) from the newer Liberty Renegades that are in good condition if anybody has a pair on the shelf. I want to build her, as I do like my "creature comforts" vs my wife's Wrangler. Espically after 8-9 hours on the assembly...

    Hoosier Jeep family checking in

I sent you a PM Tom about the cost of having you do the lift on her as we live not far away, just north of Indy here. What you do in a couple hours would take me days by myself to do. Then I know its done right. I am out of my league lifting an IFS rig. Dont want to go any higher than 3...

    Badlands meet up?

My wife and I would be game once warmer weather arrives so she can drop the top on her TJ. Be nice to have someone that knows their way around the Badlands, their map kind of sucks knowing where a stock TJ and KJ can go and not get hung up or break stuff. Mike the Aspie

    Oem mud flaps

I put the floppy rubber OEM ones on the back of my 04 KJ, the dealer didn't show a set of floppy rubber ones for the front, so I am going to just mod a second pair of the rears to fit the front. Should help keep the rocks and salt from pelting my rockers as much. Mike the Aspie

    Hoosier Jeep family checking in

Oh heck no, if she does get built, she is getting the 3" Rockfather lift with the HD option as I want to put the ARB bull bar on the front and I do tow with it once and awhile(nothing real heavy). The original plan was to do an Aussie outback look with snorkle, mild lift/tires and the bull bar...

    Seeking opinions

yes please keep the opinions coming, my 04 has 178K on it, goes thru 2 to 3 quarts every 3k miles, does have a bit of a valve cover leak but I think the rest is getting burnt. No CEL and runs smooth and quiet. Body is really nice, but suspension is sagging/clunking and the trans has never been...
