Yeah my dealer quoted $795 per bracket.. Hell no.. I think I am just going to get my shop machinist to mock something up and order a bunch of bushings and see what works.
So I have come to a pass here and don't know what else to do when it comes to these parts. I went to the local Dealership to see if they had replacement front differential bracket bushings available and they say they are discontinued..
Dillemma: 02 Renegade 3.7 Auto 231. Front differential...
Something I rarely ever do unless needed is go to my direct local dealer which is 10 mins away from me..
I find myself in a dillemma as to what or how to attain replacement bushings for the KJ front differential. The parts as mentioned are sold in their brackets which is no longer available...
I have actually seen the RC in person and can't knock it. You only have a choice with those spacer things for the front.. Either RC or top spacers.. Other than that go full suspension setup.
LED bulbs in.. and it's brighter but not that much.. More like an accent lighting look when projecting on the road.
TJKJ: I hear you on the retrofit. I was thinking about going round LED spots and fabricating the mounting brackets and shell incorporating the factory adjustments for the globes...
Don't get me wrong and I'm not a purist or brand snob. I just drive and build what I like at the shop for it's purposes. But; I don't wheel my Liberty Renegade since I just did the lift last week. Yes, I have an XJ on RE 4.5 and wheel that along with my LRs and soon Gelandewagon TD.. but I am...
I understand the O ring situation but the coils are brand new Mopar coils.. My question is why and where is the water actually coming from. It's a bit odd that this would happen. Like mentioned, Mopar did an update for the 2nd Gen Durango cowl becuase of this very leak.
I have contemplated replacing the factory light globes with LEDs but wanted to know before I attempted that, is there any way to upgrade the lighting output? I already swapped the halogen bulbs to Samsung LED 9006s 50w (expensive way to just test) and they are brighter but not super bright...
Don't know but it is definitely water and not coolant. I have to trace the cowl area once the weather breaks up here. It's dripping from somewhere and not directly above..
OK so I have come to realize that the Liberty has the same adverse affects from a cowl area leak as the 2nd Gen Durangos have. On my -'04 Durango V8, the #7 coil gets light water ingestion and fowls the wire connection to the plug due to the Wiper cowl dripping water onto it. It obviously throws...
Thanks, It's not the procedure of installation just information and/or ability of adding (stacking) isolator shims to raise the height of the rear.
and yes, I went with BDS only because my suspension rep had a set sitting from a cancelled order minus the rear shocks and only wanting 2" of lift.
Clue me in on the rear isolator situation.. My Jeep sits 1/2" lower on the left rear.. How do you go about stacking isolators and which? Upper or lower?
I am on 255/70/16 ATs on my Moab 2's.. '06 variation. 2" of lift and mine does not rub as bad as it did but does make inner fender contact on full lock.
