Boy aren't you captain helpful. Theres plenty of heavier structural components in the undercarriage compared to the body.
Setting aside genius technicalities, I'm thinking about grounding to the receiver.
I have a curt trailer harness with the regulator box and the ground wire is short so I ground it to the body behind the taillight. Is this a suitable ground location? Should I extend the ground to the frame? Thanks for any help.
I installed a curt trailer light harness a few years ago and it was working fine but now my kj is blowing the left side running light fuse without the trailer hooked up. When I apply the brake the left side running lights turn on with the fuse broken.
I re-attached the trailer harness ground...
It seems like someone said that they didn't have to bend the pipe. Look in the fabrication section for my thread. There's a link to get the t's. You could probably find an HVAC guy or something to bend the pipe. Maybe a muffler shop?
I'm having difficulties finding the clamp-on t's that xc204 used for his roof rack. I looked at Harbor Freights site and have called around and I can't find the same style. Has anyone recently found the same style that xc204 used? They are much nicer than anything I've found so far.
I've drove multitudes of 4x4 full sized GM trucks. You'll be surprised in how well the Liberty does in the snow.
They do better than a crew cab with a short bed full of tools in deep snow.
So KJ and KK are both the same hooks?
The local junk yard has 1 hook for $10 but he couldn't tell me if it was KJ or KK so I balked. If they're the same I think I'll pick it up.
Also are they ambi or is there a left and right?
So I see that you can get the stud plates for $15.25 a piece at the dealer and they want $120.00 for part # 82206124 which is a set of (2) hooks and plates.
Is there a cheaper option for the hooks? Are they model or Jeep specific?
Thanks
Is there a good write-up on how you did the mesh thing?
Anyone have opinions on how a black grille will look with deep molten red paint with gray plastics?
So last Friday someone really felt the need to bump uglies with the front of my Jeep while the wife and I were shopping. I mean I'm the guy that drops people off at the door and parks 1/4 mile out in the farthest corner in the lot.
Can you purchase the individual fin inserts for the grille...
