I’m not sure if the belt is the right fit. I’ve had the Jeep for3 years with the old alternator in there with no belt nose. I just replaced the new alternator and then there squeaking and slight smell of rub started. I will try to replace the tensioner spring. Thank you for the advice.

Hi everyone, I was hoping to get a bit of advice about the serpentine belt. I just changed my alternator and the belt have too much play as I can turn it past 1/2 inch. The car turns over by the serpentine belt squeaks.
