    Random no-start

Start with the battery. I've seen it where there was plenty of power to crank the engine but it wouldn't fire up. Fixed with a new battery.

    the grinding continues

Jack it up so the tire is off the ground, grab the tire at the top and bottom and try rocking it back and forth. If there is any play - bad bearings.

    Help with purchasing lift kit

 Well, thanks for setting me straight. I was just going by what the manufacturer says. http://www.arbusa.com/uploads/PDF/accessorizeYourRig/jeepLibertyKJ.pdf

    Help with purchasing lift kit

If you're going to do spacer/clevis and extra isos then yes, follow Tom's directions, get the long shocks and do the extended bumpstops. BTW I've only done 1 lift, Tom has done dozens.

    Help with purchasing lift kit

Just to add to the OPs possible confusion (or mine as the case may be): From what I understand the regular shocks were designed for the 1.5" lift and the long shocks for a 2-1/2". The Ls have a longer down travel but a shorter up travel and must be used with extended bump-stops regardless of...

    HOW TO: Brakes

The new pads will be thicker than the old so you may have to adjust them in (with the star-wheel) before they will fit inside the drum.

    Don't see that everyday.

Sent that pic to my boss who is a jeepafile/jeepaholic (what do you call those people?)... his reply "He is crazy. Brakes are marginal at best"

    Can I even lift it

For a lot less than $720 you can get an electric impact and the necessary sockets & extensions. To have a shop do the spring/shock swap should be less than $50 (I paid $35) Bonus: you will still have the tools after you're done. Up to you though. There have been many times I've been in the...

    PCV vavle hose filter?

I can't seem to find it anywhere online. I did see where one guy got a replacement at the dealer but he said it was over priced for what it is. One guy bought a lawnmower filter and cut it to size. Other than that every post just suggested cleaning it. Oh, and apparently everyone refers to...

    Can I even lift it

I'm gonna X2 that for a different reason. Take a look at my photo album where you'll find a nice picture of the spring compressors "fingers" stuck in the spring after assembly.

    the grinding continues

Did you have your rotors refaced when you put the new pads on? If not, that could be part of the problem. When you put on the new rotors take a good look at the pads, they could be messed up from trying to "form" to the old rotors.

RL rear bumper did I post or not?

Sorry to see that Tom, that's gotta suck. Looks like the last piece of the puzzle. I mean, what are you going to do now? Nothing to look forward to, no more mods, no more enhancements... Oh sure, you could throw in a pair of fuzzy dice or something but in reality - it's done. You've built...
