Dug the 07.Kj out the backwoods. Some taillight and tow hitch wiring got stuck on tire and came loose. I’m replacing the connector for the driver side taillight instead of fighting it to sit flush on said taillight. I noticed this ground but from the looks of it I might have to play the guessing...
Try spraying starter fluid again while cranking it and if it’s cranking the engine or starting then shutting off then it’s definitely a fuel related issue.
check your battery terminals make sure they are clean. The battery also has a ground strap near the battery. Make sure it is clean and has ground. You can tell your friend to check if the ground is grounded. The Grand Cherokee can have some electrical issues. Make sure your grounds are clean!
Well I was incorrect and the engine I have in the 07 KJ will not be compatible to the 04 KJ. I was too excited and looked at the pcms to quick without realizing it at first. Today unfortunately I had to scrap the 04 Kj do to space issues. It was sad to let her go but I had a lot of fun while it...
lol no it’s fine to ask! I’m always learning something new and do this. You know where the air filter goes? Well undo the air filter box and spray some starter fluid in the hose going to the engine. Spray in a decent amount and then try to start car. If you have an extra person have them try to...
air intake hose going towards the throttle body and check the ground cable by where the starter is located. Make sure it has good contact and no corrosion.
If you recently replaced the starter, then it wouldn’t hurt to check the grounding wiring going to it and to the inside of the fender. If that ground is corroded even with a brand new starter, car won’t crank.
Spray starter fluid and see if it cranks over if it does it a fuel related issue. If it doesn’t look for ground wire by starter sometimes they get corroded and give issues.
Welp after doing further taking apart I saw that the pistons are kissed on the 04.Kj. I did some research and saw that if your pcm(ecm) has the 4 connectors plugged into, it’s a plug in play with any engine 3.7 up to 2012 with the exception of swapping over the throttle body(intake manifold) and...
Working on the 04.Kj head gasket today. I have a question has anyone tried this trick with success. Were you can loosen the tension from the chain without having to remove the front timing cover. The guy initially guided a rod from the top of the head slips it in the tensioner and releases the...
