Cheers Mine would only make the clunk when driving at an angle to a curb or apron.Left or right but not straight. Drove me nuts.

I had a mysterious clunk that turned out to be the motor mounts. Not what I thought at first but putting it up and getting under it and to those mounts takes a little work but dang....it worked.

Good luck I imagine that the gasser has alot of the same logic.

My 2006 CRD did the same thing a couple weeks ago. The battery was reading 10.6 volts so I replaced it. Some change in the lights on the dash. The alternator test showed a 11.5 voltage output so with 160,000 miles it was time to change the alternator and then cleared the codes and no prob...

Any cetane based diesel cleaners work well and don't forget to use the BEST oil you can find I use Mobil 1 heavy duty turbo diesel oil.It will help all around.

Wheel sensors are very sensitive so maybe check them
