    Are wheel adapters safe?

Yeah I have the same loadout on mine as LibertyTC above, just bigger tires.

    Are wheel adapters safe?

I'm looking to stance the KJ a bit better and eliminate some wheel rub by putting 1.5" adapters on the wheels, because I like the renegade wheels I have. How should these be aligned- hubcentric or lug centric, and while I know deep dish wheels are the best solution is this a viable option? Any...

Clunking and popping in front suspension

Is the front sway bar okay to leave disconnected while off road?

Clunking and popping in front suspension

Now that I think about it, I tightened the swaybar links while it was jacked up so that could be it.. should I unbolt them on the ground and then just bolt them back on, or lift it to undo them and then drop it to put back on?

Clunking and popping in front suspension

Absolutely. The install was done to spec with Marlin Gehman’s (jba) video Also I can for sure hear it from the drivers side now, there’s a certain point in the steering where it pops every time

Clunking and popping in front suspension

Could the ball joints in my JBA UCA’s have failed? It almost sounds like that’s where it’s coming from

Clunking and popping in front suspension

So I just finished redoing the suspension on my 04’ liberty, and I’ve put about 500 miles on it with the new parts and it’s been fantastic. ( al’s a-arms, ome coil springs, bilstein shocks, moog lower ball joints.) Yesterday all of a sudden it just started making clunking noises in the front...

Are JBA UCA's as necessary as Marlin Gehman makes them sound?

Great to know! Someday I may put an ARB bumper on it but that wont happen until I'm making much more money than I am, and college slows down a bit. For now it wouldn't be anything over 75 lbs, probs a farm jack mount on a custom stinger bar.

Are JBA UCA's as necessary as Marlin Gehman makes them sound?

Just in case I ever decide to put anything on the front, like a custom bull bar or a winch. Also good to know, thanks

Are JBA UCA's as necessary as Marlin Gehman makes them sound?

New question: I have my car back together in the front, and it seems to be sitting too high.. the UCA is much closer to the coil than it should be I think, but I've followed all the research I've done around on the forum. It's a Bilstein shock for liberty, with a OME medium coil, and two 1/8"...

Are JBA UCA's as necessary as Marlin Gehman makes them sound?

Thanks, I ended up getting the JBA UCA's.. as much as it hurts my 20 year old wallet

Are JBA UCA's as necessary as Marlin Gehman makes them sound?

My KJ has a 3" spacer lift currently, and I'm in the process of changing to a proper 3.25" Bilstein/OME lift. My question is, with 171,000 miles on the car, am I at any risk of UCA failure and in need of either new OEM UCA's or JBA UCA's?

    Front driveshaft/cv play

Should there be any play in the driveshaft/cv coming from the transfer case to the front diff? I can turn mine about a quarter to half turn with my hand while its in park.

Smoke from under hood and through vents

My 04' is going through a good amount of oil it seems, and is now smoking from under the hood. It also blows the smoke in to the cab when the heat is on. I looked down through the hood and there is no evidence of oil at first, but when I look up through the bottom of the engine bay, there's oil...

    Bilstein Shocks w/ OME Coils

So after looking closely at my suspension on my 04' KJ, I noticed that it is a spacer lift, not a true suspension lift. In order to remedy that I want to do OME coils with Bilstein shocks and struts but also retain my 3" lift. First, are the OME coils that say 1.5" lift actually 1.5", or are...
