Backup Light Project

So, I'm planning to build a small bracket/arm assembly that mounts to the spare tire bracket and comes out beside the spare to hold a light or two for back up lights. My only hang-up in the process is running the wiring. Where would be the best place to discretely run the wiring? Through the rear wiper arm hole? I would prefer not to drill a hole in the tailgate for this, but want to get the wiring inside to run it to the front.

Remove the spare tire carrier and drill a hole behind it.

rubber grommet for the wiring to pass thru. Its sealed with silicone.
