Whilst servicing my car today I noticed the wrong type of clip.
Lying on the floor, looking up from under the car, where the exhaust meets the manifold.

I notice at the end of the cast manifold nearest the bulk head there is a pipe which I assume goes to the EGR. That pipe is secured with a hose clip, what I call a Jubilee clip. It doesn't look right.

A Vee-clamp is what's used there to hold the EGR pipe or a stainless plug that Sasquatch (Sasquach?) makes to block that hole. The Vee-clamp is basically a hose clamp with a couple of V-collars tack welded to it to hold the flange on the EGR pipe or plug tightly to the manifold.
